Really Guys?
Good luck getting a trademark on that!
You guys are such haters!
The more places to ride the better. PERIOD
Hey Yall!
Please read this to clear up any concerns:
The Aptos Post Office Jumps are on Barry Swenson Builders property which is currently leased to Santa Cruz County as a temporary bike park. Eventually this land will be developed and Post Office will be plowed (old news). Many years ago (I don't know when exactly) the plan was to put in a permanent SKATEPARK nearby when this Barry Swenson Builder's land was developed. Because of the MASSIVE popularity of the dirt jumps and thriving local mountain bike community, MBOSC, Epicenter Cycling, and numerous locals are rallying to put in a permanent bike park instead. The same people who constructed Post Office Jumps and the Epicenter Pumptrack will be designing and building this new park (once approved) and I assure you that it will be EPIC! So please don't bag on MBOSC for putting on this event. They are the good guys and there are only awesome things to come from their efforts in the future.
Cheers,
Evan Turpen
I have been riding/racing on these pedals for over 4 months now. You can't really compare the feel of these pedals to anything else on the market. It feels as if your bottom bracket is lower while cornering, yet you have more clearance between the pedal and ground. The best word to describe the feel under foot is "planted". Definitely one of the best flat pedal products on the market (along with 5.10 shoes). With the longer pins the traction is even better, but I've never seen the need to replace the stock pins myself. Huge props to Point One for taking flat pedal performance to another level. What's next boys?...
The bike pictured weighs about 42 lbs with downhill tubes, steel spring, Deetraks, Heavy @$$ e.13, and Hussefelt components. With a ti spring, lighter tubes, lighter wheels, and a lighter chainguide there is no reason why it couldn't come in at 38-39lbs. I had a chance to test ride that bike before it was sent off to interbike and I was impressed. I rode it in the 64 degree head angle position and it handled amazing. The bike feels much lighter than the weight would suggest. It pedals well and the suspension action is VERY smooth. It is also extremely quiet which was a nice touch. The best way to describe this bike would be that it is confidence inspiring. Hope this answered some people's questions...
